Service Projects

Make a Difference Day Each year volunteers with Volunteers in Action join with thousands of other volunteers throughout the United States to do projects which benefit a neighborhood or group in need.
Neighbor to Neighbor Project - May 2010 On Saturday, May 8, over 60 volunteers came out to Platt Park for Neighbor to Neighbor Day 2010. Sponsored by Volunteers in Action and Local Churches, the Neighbor to Neighbor Day is just that- neighbors helping their elderly neighbors- whether it was weeding, cleaning gutters, planting flowers or painting, our volunteers got a lot of work done! They worked on 12 senior's homes as well as several projects at McKinnley-Thatcher Elementary School.
Extreme Community Makeover 2009 On August 8, 2009, 55 volunteers worked on 11 projects in Villa Park, a West Denver neighborhood, in cooperation with Confluence Ministries.
Leaf Raking Project Our Leaf Raking Project was with Denver Christian Middle Schools this year on November 6th. 167 students from Highlands Ranch and VanDellen Middle Schools raked leaves for 83 elderly homeowners.
