M.O.V.E.D.
What is it?
M.O.V.E.D. stands for Moving Operation of Volunteers for the Elderly and Disabled. Moving assistance for the elderly and disabled is a great need in the greater Denver Metro area. Our moving program ensures that individuals are safely and efficiently moved into a place that is better suited for them.
How does it work?
- A case worker calls Volunteers in Action to refer an appropriate individual that needs to move.
- Our M.O.V.E.D. coordinator visits the client to do an assessment.
- Details of the move are confirmed.
- On the day of the move, a group of volunteers load the moving truck, drive it to the new place of residence and unload it.
